個人簡介
30多年奮斗在我國深海科研與教學第一線,，是我國在國際深?？萍冀缬兄匾绊懙目茖W家。針對深?？茖W前沿領(lǐng)域與國家重大需求,，從科技創(chuàng)新和海洋科考緊密結(jié)合入手，在海洋地質(zhì)基礎(chǔ)理論研究和海洋原位探測工程技術(shù)應用方面都取得了一系列首創(chuàng)性的重要成果,。在西南印度洋及西太平洋巖石圈研究上取得重要突破,，深化了板塊循環(huán)理論；在國際海底管理局提出“基線及其自然變化”的環(huán)境保護理念與標準,，建立了國際海域多金屬結(jié)核礦床地質(zhì)模型,，較早地在我國開展現(xiàn)代海底熱液活動研究；推動我國深潛科學和海底長期觀測科學的發(fā)展,，并自主研發(fā)原位采樣和實驗儀器,，在深海取得系列新發(fā)現(xiàn)和新認識。迄今已獨立或與他人合作發(fā)表論文230多篇,，其中發(fā)表在《Nature》,、《Nature Geoscience》、《PNAS》,、《Geology》等SCI 收錄期刊上的論文90多篇；主編中文著作3 部,，參與撰寫國際海底管理局英文專著1 部,。獲得省部級科技進步一等獎2 項（第三名和第四名），二等獎2 項（第二名）；已授權(quán)國家發(fā)明專利22項,，已授權(quán)國家實用新型專利18項,。為搭乘我國“蛟龍?zhí)枴陛d人深潛器下潛的首位科學家，主持完成了我國深海大洋第一個973計劃項目,。同時為我國深海研究領(lǐng)域培養(yǎng)了十多位國家級人才或?qū)W術(shù)帶頭人,。
歷任中國大洋地球與環(huán)境科學研究中心主任、國際海洋礦物學會三個執(zhí)委（Director）之一（2013年1月至2016年12月）,、國際海底管理局咨詢專家,、國家自然科學基金委海洋學科專家評審組成員、國家863計劃海洋領(lǐng)域（九五末至十一五）專家組成員,、2011-2013年國家基金委首屆重大科研儀器設(shè)備專項專家委員會成員,、國務院大洋專項“九五”-“十五”期間環(huán)境項目的首席科學家。2012至2016年擔任了我國深海大洋領(lǐng)域首個973項目“西南印度洋洋中脊熱液成礦過程與硫化物礦區(qū)預測”的首席科學家,，并曾多次擔任大洋航段及其它國內(nèi)外海洋科考的首席科學家,。2016年至2022年，擔任我國“海底觀測網(wǎng)”大科學工程設(shè)施項目總工程師,。2017年6月至2023年6月任加拿大國家海洋觀測網(wǎng)國際咨詢專家組成員,。2023年7月開始，在南方科技大學海洋科學與工程系任講席教授,。
