吳旭陽博士于2020年獲得中國科學院大學通信與信息系統(tǒng)博士學位,，隨后在瑞典皇家理工學院擔任博士后研究員,。其目前在南方科技大學系統(tǒng)設計與智能制造學院（SDIM）擔任助理教授。主要研究興趣包括分布式優(yōu)化,、大規(guī)模優(yōu)化,、機器學習及相關領域,，并在控制領域頂級期刊IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control（IEEE TAC）、Automatica及人工智能頂級會議國際機器學習會議（ICML）發(fā)表多篇第一作者論文,。
