王波研究助理教授于2017年畢業(yè)于北京航空航天大學能源與動力工程學院,，獲得航空宇航推進理論與工程專業(yè)的博士學位,。同年加入南方科技大學力學與航空航天工程系，開展博士后研究工作,。2020年5月在南方科技大學力學與航空航天工程系任研究助理教授,。
從事航發(fā)湍流燃燒,、動態(tài)燃燒理論、先進激光診斷等領(lǐng)域的研究,。主要成果包括：
（1）系統(tǒng)研究了受限空間復雜旋流流動,、氣動霧化、湍流燃燒相互作用等,，提出三類典型流動模式,、三類火焰結(jié)構(gòu)、液霧燃燒火焰穩(wěn)定機制等,。
（2）旋流攪拌燃燒關(guān)鍵技術(shù)研究,，攻克高頭部、短長度中心分級低排放燃燒室點火難題,，大幅降低燃燒室氮氧化物排放,，相關(guān)技術(shù)成果應用于我國大飛機國產(chǎn)發(fā)動機,。
