副教授

個人簡介

Mark Hopwood,南方科技大學(xué)海洋科學(xué)與工程系副教授,。他于2015年在英國南安普頓大學(xué)獲得了海洋和地球科學(xué)博士學(xué)位,他的導(dǎo)師Peter Statham是痕量金屬超凈技術(shù)方面領(lǐng)先的研究學(xué)者,,而該技術(shù)是研究海洋中超低濃度金屬所必需的技術(shù),。同年,Hopwood博士加入了德國GEOMAR 基爾亥姆霍茲海洋研究中心,,在Eric Achterberg的全球最大的海洋化學(xué)研究組里完成了博士后研究,。同時還在北卡羅萊納大學(xué)威爾明頓分校進(jìn)行交流學(xué)習(xí)。2019年,,他獲得了DFG的獨(dú)立研究資金,,用于研究格陵蘭島和南極洲區(qū)域的冰-洋相互作用,并且自2017年以來被任命為智利高緯度海洋生態(tài)系統(tǒng)動態(tài)研究中心的副研究員(瓦爾迪維亞,,智利),。 2021年4月,Hopwood教授作為助理教授加入南方科技大學(xué),,同年12月破格提升為副教授,。

Hopwood教授目前教授兩門課程(春季學(xué)期開設(shè)的本科生課程OCE108碳中和概論,、秋季學(xué)期開設(shè)的研究生課程OCE5030海洋生物地球化學(xué)循環(huán)),,同時兼任學(xué)校射箭社團(tuán)的教練。Hopwood教授的研究團(tuán)隊(duì)目前也在中國科學(xué)院大學(xué)大亞灣生物綜合實(shí)驗(yàn)站(深圳)開展大規(guī)模(100,000 升)實(shí)驗(yàn),,研究負(fù)排放技術(shù)的潛力如提高海洋堿度,,以便在海洋中安全地儲存更多的二氧化碳,。

Mark老師還利用自己的業(yè)余時間,,作為海闊體育的助教,教授小朋友們海洋科學(xué)的相關(guān)知識和漿板技能,,從而讓小朋友們感受到海洋科學(xué)的魅力,。
