Basic Introduction:
Feng Yan received the Ph.D. degree in School of Environment, Tsinghua University, China in 2018, and then work as Research Associate Professor in School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology, China. Dr. Yan has focused on the high-value utilization of solid waste and the CO2 capture & utilization for over 10 years. Dr. Yan has published 90 SCI papers in renowned journals, including Environmental Science & Technology, Science Advances, and Journal of Materials Chemistry A, accumulating over 4,600 citations on Google Scholar, with an h-index of 42. Additionally, he has published 18 international conference papers, delivered 11 invited presentations at national and international conferences, and twice served as session chair. Dr. Yan has applied for 68 Chinese invention patents (39 granted), 9 U.S. patents (5 granted), 4 Japanese patents (1 granted), 6 international PCT patents, and 2 European patents, alongside 21 granted Chinese utility model patents. He has led 6 national/provincial research projects and participated in completing another 6.
His honors include the Jury’s Special Commendation Gold Medal at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, the Gold Award of Guangdong Society of Environmental Sciences Youth Science and Technology Award, First Prize of Guangdong Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award, and the “Academic Rising Star” Award for graduate students at Tsinghua University. Dr. Yan currently serves as an Editorial Board Member of journals such as DeCarbon, Carbon Capture Science & Technology, and Journal of Central South University (English Edition). Additionally, Dr. Yan holds positions as Vice Chairman of the Expert Committee of the China Energy Society, Deputy Secretary-General of the Cleaner Production Committee of Guangdong Society of Environmental Sciences, and a Committee Member of the Environmental Protection Academic Committee of the Nonferrous Metals Society of China.
