LI Junxue
Associate Professor

Brief Introduction

Dr. Junxue Li obtained his B. S. degree in Applied Physics from China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) in 2008, and Ph. D. degree in condensed matter physics from Fudan University in 2015. From March 2015 to September 2020, he worked as Postdoc and Assistant Project Scientist at the Department of Physics and Astronomy in University of California, Riverside (UCR). He joined the Department of Physics in SUSTech since Dec. 3rd, 2020.

Research Interests

Dr. Junxue Li’s research concentrates on novel physical phenomena in nanoscale electronic devices and heterostructures originating from complex interactions such as spin orbit coupling and exchange interaction. His research interests include: (1) transport of spin and heat current across interface of heterostructure, such as spin Seebeck effect and spin Pumping effect; (2) manipulation of the efficiency of spin current generation and detection using quantum materials. He is also interested in epitaxial thin film growth using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and pulsed laser deposition (PLD) methods, particularly for the materials showing topological excitations and ferro-, ferri-, and antiferro-magnetic materials. Up to Dec. 1st 2023, Dr. Li has published 10 first-author papers (include 1 Nature, 2 Nature Communications, 2 PRL, 1 Nano Letters and 2 PRB), 35 co-author papers, Google Citation=1581, h-index=20.
